The expansion of Adelaide High School by JPE Design Studio has included a two-storey building, a resource centre, science laboratories, drama area, general learning rooms, and a rooftop plaza. Additional parking for 47 vehicles is also available. Working closely with the State Government and Adelaide City Council, a specially made red brick from PGH Bricks Smooth range was commissioned, featuring a pale-white shading for this project to resemble the bricks pre-expansion. In the planning stages, the location, heritage listings, and the retaining of the school’s historic character were taken into consideration.
